Translation: " Black women aren't usually successful"
Male professional to female professional

Translation: "Most women don't act like professionals"

Translation" I assume that people who use wheelchairs don't get out much."
Upper class person to working-class person:
"It's remarkable that you take college classes"
Translation: Most working class people aren't interested in higher education."

Translation: "I think all blacks dance/have rhythm"

Translation: "Most lesbians hate men"

Translation: "I assume most domestic works don't speak well or aren't educated."

"I never think of you as black"
Translation: "You don't fit my view of blacks; you're an exception to my negative stereotype."

"You're not as stuffy as most white people."
Translation: "Most white people are stuffy and uptight. You're not"
